Astoria Restaurant Week starts Friday!

Starting Friday, Astoria Restaurant Week will launch to celebrate the neighborhood’s eateries and food culture with dozens of restaurants offering specials and prix fixe menus.

The event is being hosted by the Queens Chamber of Commerce, partnered with the business consulting group Triangulum Services. Armando Tejeda, of Triangulum, spoke with DNA Info about the week-long event.

“It’s been kind of like a well-guarded secret that Astoria is a very, very good dining destination,” Tejeda said. “The whole purpose of this is, one, to bring the dining community of Astoria together, and also to bring some of the business from Manhattan to Astoria to dine.”

Astoria Restaurant Week runs from Friday, Sept. 19 and runs through the 28th. Interested participants must sign up for a foodie pass in order to take advantage of the specials.
