Next Steps 5k walk/run for the autistic community

This weekend, head to Astoria Park (21 Hoyt Ave. North) for Next Steps, a 5k walk/run for autism hosted by Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC).

Registration tables will open at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 20. Runners start at 10 a.m. and walkers will follow. The registration fee is $25, and advance registration is recommended.

You can set up a personal fundraising page, and all proceeds will benefit services for children and adults with autism throughout New York City and Long Island.

There will be a prize awarded to the top fundraiser at the completion of the 5k, and the day will also include entertainment and family fun.
