City promotes tourism in Astoria with new campaign, documentary

In its latest promotional effort, the City has praised the culture, cuisine and commerce of Astoria through its Neighborhood x Neighborhood campaign.

The campaign promotes non-traditional tourist destinations and mentions the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, Museum of the Moving Image and numerous Greek cuisine spots, like Ovelia on 30th Ave.

NYC & Company, the city’s marketing and tourism partner, announced the tourism campaign last week in London. They also released a short documentary touting all Astoria has to offer, from Singlecut Beersmiths to Socrates Sculpture Park, and giving a brief history of the bustling neighborhood.
