Borough President Melinda Katz to host PTA workshop
Borough President Melinda Katz will host a workshop for Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) as well as for parents interested in becoming more involved in their schools.
“Without a doubt, the stronger the PTA, the stronger the school,” Queens Borough President Katz said. “As a mom of two young boys, I can attest firsthand to the impact that parental involvement has on our education system. Queens parents are some of the most active, vocal and effective in the city, and the difference is clear. The nexus of collaboration between families, educators and surrounding community is the key to the success of our schools. I urge Queens parents – if you’re able – to be engaged.”
