Last chance to see Ophelia Theatre Group perform Shakespeare’s “As You Like It”
If you’re a fan of the bard, this weekend is your last chance to go see As You Like It in the brand new black box Ophelia Theater (21-12 30th Rd.)
As You Like It is a tale about lovers Rosalind and Orlando. Unable to act on their feelings and forced into exile in the Forest of Arden, the two become entangled in a beguiling game of love, lust and mistaken identity. As You Like It subverts the traditional rules of romance. Gender roles, nature and politics are confused in a play that reflects on how bewildering yet utterly pleasurable life can be.
Shows run Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and closing night is Sunday at 6 p.m.
For tickets ($20) go to Brown Paper Tickets, or head to the Ophelia Theater website.
