Court Square Library to undergo expansion project

The Court Square Library, located on the first floor of the Citigroup Building (25-01 Jackson Ave., LIC ), is set to undergo a  $467,612 expansion project. The project includes a new  designated children’s room, as well as a meeting room for  programs and community events.

Initially, the library was opened in a space donated by Citi so  it could be used by workers in the office building. Since then,  the recent eruption in residential development has brought more families to Hunters Point and Court Square, increasing demand at the small library — the only branch in the neighborhood.
