Grab food at Zorba’s Souvlaki Plus while you still can

Zorba’s Souvlaki Plus, a no-frills Greek comfort food restaurant in Astoria, will be closing down temporarily. The mom-and-pop restaurant is planning an expansion and won’t reopen until the new year.

The restaurant is best known for its cheap, authentic meals and large portions. Customer favorites include the pork souvlaki platter, the lemon potatoes, the spicy feta dip and the spinach pie.

Customers can look forward to the bigger space, as well new meal additions and a steam table. The owners don’t have a conclusive reopening date, but they are hoping the construction takes a few weeks to complete.
