Teamsters offer reward for missing member Sierra Shields

The Teamsters Union is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of  Astoria woman Sierra Shields who was last seen leaving LaGuardia Airport on Jan. 14.

“The Teamsters are deeply concerned about the recent developments surrounding Ms. Shields. Today we demonstrate our continued commitment to finding her,” said Jim Hoffa, Teamsters General President. “We are offering a reward of $10,000 to anyone who gives the authorities information that leads to the discovery of her whereabouts. It is imperative that we find her. If anybody has information that can help us do this, we ask that he or she please come forward.”

Shields – listed at approximately 5’6” or 5’7”, weighing approximately 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes – was a flight attendant with Shuttle America for Delta and United Airlines flights, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Sierra’s family,” said Capt. David Bourne, Director of the Teamsters Airline Division. “As a union, we look out for our own. Sierra and her family need help at this time. If anyone has seen her or has information relevant to this missing person case, please contact the proper authorities as soon as possible. You can also help by sharing her picture and information on social media.”
