MWP Basketball Camp next week at the Variety Boys & Girls Club in Astoria
Starting Tuesday, August 23rd, former NBA defensive player of the year, Metta World Peace, will be running a 5 day mini camp at the Variety Boys & Girls Club in L.I.C.
The camp is for kids ages 10-14. The camp will be from 6PM-9PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday night, and the whole day Saturday.
Each night, the 3 hour camp will consist of improving on the fundamentals of the game. Each night will have a focus on one specific fundamental: defense, teamwork, dribbling, shooting, and passing.

$75 per child includes 4 nights of instruction (Tues-Fri) for 3 hours each night, and the camp on Saturday will run the whole day.
Saturday will be “Game Day,” and will consist of a day of 5v5 full court games, Knockout, 1v1, Hot Shot, & Free Throw Contests & more contests to win NBA memorabilia & prizes! There will be activities and fun for the whole family.
Metta World Peace and Coach Charles Melone’s staff of CM3 Division 1 basketball student athletes will be working together to ensure that children have fun and learn the game.
