BP appoints members of CB1
Queens Borough President Melinda Katz announced her selections to fill spots on Community Board 1, which represents Astoria, Queensbridge, Ravenswood and parts of Long Island City.
Each appointee serves two years on the community board. Seventy-seven of the 354 appointees are first-time members. Their terms began on April 1.
“Service on our community boards is a substantial commitment, which I expect all appointees to fulfill to their utmost,” Katz said. “The appointees announced today have demonstrated their ability and commitment to serving Queens families and the betterment of our neighborhoods.”
