Thief takes cash and jewelry from Astoria home

Authorities say on Monday, April 10, at about 10 p.m., the broke the front door of a house near 9th Street and 27th Avenue. A 61-year-old man lived inside.

Once he got in, the suspect took jewelry and cash before he dashed away.

Luckily, no one was hurt from the incident.
