Chip Ice Cream serves free ice cream to over 200 customers at Grand Opening

Chip NYC officially opened their brand new ice cream shop, Chip Ice Cream, on Sunday, July 22nd at 41-01 31st Avenue in Astoria, Queens.

Chip originally promoted that their first 100 ice cream scoops would be free, but they decided to be extra generous and gave out free ice cream & chip – ice cream cookie sandwiches until they sold out.

“We love our customers & our community, and it felt amazing to make everyone happy with our ice cream creations,” said Andrea, Chip’s Head Baker.

At the grand opening, Chip fans were thrilled to find out that Chip Ice Cream is infusing vanilla and chocolate ice cream with popular Chip Cookies (Chocolate Chip, S’mores, and Funfetti, etc…).

You can either order an ice cream cup with Chip cookie pieces & crumbles sprinkled on top =D

Or, a Chip cookie ice cream sandwich =O

The line wrapped around the corner, but according to customers… it was sooo worth it.

Even the rain didn’t stop the Chip Ice Cream grand opening festivities!
