Free giveaways this Friday at Kids Fun Day

Get ready for a fun-filled day this Friday in Astoria.

Catholic Charities is hosting its 10th annual Kids Fun Day along Newtown Avenue starting at 11 a.m. Kids will get free backpack filled with supplies, getting them ready for their return to school.

Activities for kids include woodworking by Home Depot, bounce house, face painting and other crafts and games.

A Zumba demonstration will begin around 11:15 a.m. as well.

In the meantime, parents and adults will have access to dozens of organizations providing resources to the community.
