Local law firm sponsors community basketball league
The Heroes Basketball League has been serving the Astoria Community for over 30 years; providing a fun & competitive basketball league for both kids & adults. The league is run on Sundays at the Variety Boys & Girls Club and has an average of 400 participants per season.
Pyrros & Serres LLP is a local law firm, focusing on Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases. They handle construction site injuries, an occupational disease or work related pushing, pulling or lifting injuries and similar workers compensation claims. They also help clients who suffer injury through daily work that results in joint injuries or repetitive motion/stress injuries.
This season, Pyrros & Serres’ sponsored The Heroes Basketball League by helping fund over 400 team jerseys. They also gave out over 300 bags and water bottles to participants.
