Town Hall on Student Debt Crisis

UPDATE: The town hall on student debt has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts.

Stay tuned to see when the new date will be.

In the meantime, OANA’s next regular meeting is scheduled for November 14th at St. George’s Church at 14-20 27th Avenue in Astoria.

 

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney is teaming up with the Old Astoria Neighborhood Association to host the town hall on student debt.Student debt has become a national crisis that is affecting millions of Americans.

This is why it’s more important than ever for students and alumni to know their options moving forward.

On Tuesday, October 30 at the Renaissance Event Hall (27-34 21st Street), the Old Astoria Neighborhood Association will team up with Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney for a town hall meeting on this issue.

The event will provide attendees with information about the various options they have to finance their students’ education.

It will also seek feedback for legislation to tackle the student debt crisis.

The event begins at 7 p.m.
