Substation Fire in Astoria Lights Up NYC Sky
Residents throughout New York City were left in shock and awe after the night sky was turned aqua blue after a fire at a Con Edison substation in Astoria.
According to Con Edison, an electrical fire at a substation on 20th Avenue and 32nd Street caused “a sustained electrical arc flash & transmission disturbance.”
