Alternate Side Parking regulations will be in effect in Old Astoria starting on Monday, September 16.

The regulation affects the area bounded to the north by Astoria Park South, to the east by 21st Street, to the south by Broadway and to the west by the East River.

The changes will not affect parking meters or any other rules that are not part of street cleaning regulations.

The Old Astoria Neighborhood Association has been advocating for weekly street cleaning for years.

The next OANA meeting is scheduled for September 10 at 7 p.m. at St. George Episcopal Church.

On the agenda is a presentation from the Department of Environmental Protection on infrastructure, sewage and sustainability issues.

Mount Sinai Queens will also provide an update on services, followed by the 114th Precinct to talk local security problems.

RSVP to the meeting by emailing RSVP@oana-ny.org.
