TONIGHT: Melinda Katz to speak at Astoria civic association

The Astoria Homeowners, Tenants & Business Civic Association is hosting a few special guest speakers for its meeting tonight.

At 7:30 p.m. tonight, the civic association will hear from Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, followed by Deputy Inspector Osvaldo Nunez, Commanding Officer of the 114th Precinct.

That will be followed by a discussion on the candidates running for Queens borough president, a position that was recently vacated by Katz.

Additionally, there will be an update on community issues.

The meeting takes place at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy’s gymnasium, located at 21-17 45th Street. The entrance can be found at the back door through the school parking lot.
