Costa participates in Democratic National Convention’s Climate Council
In case you missed it, Astoria’s own Costa Constantinides participated in a Democratic National Convention event yesterday.
The councilman, known in New York City and now across the country as a climate leader, spoke in the climate change panel, “Why & How Democrats Should Run on Climate.”
The 45-minute afternoon discussion also featured Washington Governor Jay Inslee and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison.
Constantinides discussed his campaigns for City Council and Queens borough president, during which sustainability and fighting climate change were the pillars of his platforms.
He also spoke about bills he passed in the City Council, including the Climate Mobilization Act, commonly referred to as New York City’s version of the “Green New Deal.”
