Chip NYC makes 9-year-old’s Dream Cookie a Reality
Last month, a 9-year-old Variety Boys & Girls Club Member dreamed up a cookie. This weekend, Chip NYC is making that cookie a reality!
The Strawberry Shortcake Cookie idea, dreamed & submitted by Variety Boys & Girls Club kid, Isabelle, won the ‘Dream Cookie Contest’ hosted by Chip NYC & The Variety Boys & Girls Club.
Over 100 Chip NYC fans submitted their Dream Cookie idea to the Chip NYC team via email & regular mail.
The 3 week contest concluded with a bake-off event for kids at the Variety Boys & Girls Club, where Isabelle’s idea captured the hearts… and stomachs of the Chip NYC team.
At 1pm this Sunday, September 16th, Isabelle and her friends from the Variety Boys & Girls Club will be at Chip NYC in Astoria to eat her ‘Dream Cookie’ and receive a hefty Chip NYC gift card.
Chip NYC will also be donating $1,000 to the Variety Boys & Girls Club’s cooking program.
“We are thrilled to give back to a local program that helps kids find their passion,” said Andrea, Chip NYC’s head baker. “The Club kids at the bake-off event were spirited and dynamic. We hope that Variety’s cooking program will one day produce hard-working chefs and bakers,” she added.
