Council member Constantinides sets aside $1.5M for participatory budgeting
New York City Council Member Costa Constantinides announced his office has set aside $1.5 Million in discretionary funds for this cycle of Participatory Budgeting, a 50% increased compared to the previous cycle.
District residents will be able to decide how to spend that funding on capital projects within the district, with a series of upcoming brainstorming sessions on potential projects to take place in the coming months.
Two brainstorming meetings are scheduled in Astoria for September:
September 16, 7-9 p.m., Bohemian Hall, 29- 19 24th Ave, Astoria
September 30, 7-9 p.m., Astoria Houses Community Center, 4-25 Astoria Blvd
