Dylan Cresta, the four-year-old boy that was injured after being pinned under a car in Astoria on November 19, got to have a special meeting with the heroes that saved his life this week.

On Sunday, December 18, FDNY members from Rescue Company 4, Squad 288, Engine Company 263, Ladder Company 117, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Rescue Paramedics from Station 45 gathered at the headquarters of Engine 263 and Ladder 117 to welcome the young boy.

“This turned out to be amazing and more than what we expected,” said Vinny Cresta, Dylan’s father. “We couldn’t be more grateful and it is very emotional for us, but it is very positive that Dylan is doing well under the circumstances, and it could have much worse, it’s a different Christmas this year for us, and with different meaning, less about materialistic things this Christmas and more about giving back and being with family.”
