EDC to tour Astoria ferry landing

The new president and CEO of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC) will inspect the construction of a new ferry landing being installed at Hallets Cove tomorrow morning.

James Patchett will join Councilman Costa Constantinides and Astoria Houses Residents Association President Claudia Coger tomorrow at 8:45 a.m. for the tour.

Launched last summer, the citywide ferry system will carry an estimated 4.6 million passenger trips per year across six routes.

Nineteen vessels will operate at 21 ferry landings throughout New York City.
