Newest Astoria Hot Spot CHICK-N-SOUP Hits Soft Opening For Variety Boys & Girls Club

There are ‘good guys’ and then there are ‘great guys’ who open eateries in Astoria. Well, Louis, owner of the ‘soon to be open’ Chick-n-Soup at 30-12 Astoria Blvd. hosted a party for the Young Professional Board of the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Astoria on Thursday night. on Monday, November 9th.

25 volunteers from the Club came to network and raise funds for scholarships & programs for the kids at the Club, located on 21 St & 30 Road in Astoria. It has been running since 1955. Matt Troy is the Executive Director, John Sanchez is the President of the Young Professional Board – which has representatives from Amazon, Skanska, Microsoft, Makers Space, United Print, MK Vision Center, The Queens Ledger Newspaper and more on the board.

Tonight the group posed for a shot here in front of the new eatery’s signature mural painted by the artist Rizz22. The comfort food with a spanish twist in this joint will be available for the public when the place opens on Monday, November 13th.
