Cement truck kills man on Northern Blvd.

Yesterday, just after noon, a cement truck struck and killed a man who was crossing Northern Blvd. near 34th St.

The 60-year-old man, who has not been identified, was found unconscious and unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead at Astoria General Hospital.

The driver of the truck, a 29-year-old male, stayed at the scene. It is not known whether or not charges have been filed.
