According to published reports, police were executing a search warrant at a home on Queens Boulevard in an unrelated case and found the pair.

They were identified as suspects in the robbery pattern earlier this week, when their mugshots were released to the public. Ware and Martinez have eight prior arrests between them.

Police say since early February the two men committed seven armed robberies, all but one in Astoria, stealing approximate $1,205 worth of property from ten victims at either knife or gunpoint.

On April 11 in front of 45-05 Newton Road, Ware and Martinez approached a 25-year-old man, pulled out a gun, and took his jewelry, cell phone, and wallet.

In another incident they stole clothing from a group of teenagers, and they also forced a 38-year-old man at knifepoint to withdraw $100 from a nearby ATM.

Their most recent robbery occurred on April 19, when they pulled a gun on a 25-year-old near Newtown Road and 44th Street and stole $40.
